Duties:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and secretarial support to the Director and staff of the Aboriginal Consultation Unit. Responsibilities include the preparation of general correspondence, reports, memos, Orders-in-Council, briefing notes, annual reports, Treasury Board Submissions, Speaking Notes, and documents of a sensitive and/or confidential nature. Duties also include maintaining files, bring forward and correspondence tracking systems, booking meetings/appointments, coordinating and arranging meeting facilities, taking minutes, researching and compiling background information, answering general phone enquiries, maintaining office equipment, photocopying, sending facsimiles, etc. and providing backup assistance for other administrative support staff.
