Title: Construction labourer (Wage Subsidy)
Requirements: This position is being funded by Service Canada under the Targeted Wage Subsidies Employment Benefit. To be eligible to participate, you must be unemployed and: have established an Employment Insurance (EI) claim or have had an EI claim that ended in the past three years, or have received maternity or parental benefits under an EI claim that started in the past five years and have left the labour force to care for one or more newborn or adopted children, and are now seeking to re-enter the work force.
Title: Construction labourer
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Day
Salary: $12.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Winnipeg and Area, Manitoba (2 vacancies )
Education: Some high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not required
Experience: Will train
Languages: Speak English, Read English
Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Specific Skills: Load, unload and transport construction materials, Mix, pour and spread materials, Assist in demolishing buildings, Clean and pile salvaged materials, Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding. Duties Include demolition, bulk garbage removal, landscaping, fencing, eaves trough work, climbing ladders.
Work Site Environment: Outdoors, At heights, Dusty
Essential Skills: Working with others, Job task planning and organizing, Continuous learning
