The Manager is responsible to coordinate all aspects of a staff team that is dedicated to supporting adults with an intellectual disability in maintaining a home that reflects the values and choices of the individual. Manager responsibilities include hiring, training, scheduling, payroll, team development, maintaining set budgets, advocacy and other duties related to supported living.
This is a full time position starting as soon as possible.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Human Services or Disability and Community Support Program Diploma is preferred
- Other combination of related education and experience may be considered
- Completion of the Supervision in Human Services course an asset
- Demonstrated commitment to the vision, mission, values and policies of Epic Opportunities.
- Have a strong commitment to the philosophy and values of supported living and decision-making
- Demonstrated ability to advocate and promote self-advocacy.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to listen, understand problem solve and respond to various situations.
- Must be a self-starter who is able to multi-task and be organized.
- Must be creative and innovative.
- Ability to create and maintain partnerships, networks and optimize opportunities for community inclusion and participation for supported individuals.
- A valid Driver’s license supported by a clear driver’s abstract and access to a vehicle is required.
