Community Living Leadership Program Fall is on its way, the mosquitoes will be leaving soon, back to school sales are just around the corner, and our Leadership Workshop series is back! This past May we surveyed Inclusion Leadership Series attendees and asked them what kind of courses they would like us to feature in the Fall 2010 / Spring 2011 seminar series. The feedback made it clear that you wanted something for everyone, that basic people skills were way up there, and that EVERYBODY loves a great lunch. The greater the better! Well, in response to your feedback, we will be introducing some great new courses in September including "How to Deal with Difficult People," "Culture and Conflict," and "Delivering Effective Feedback." All of these new topics are designed to appeal to 1st time Leadership Program attendees and those returning for 'Post Graduate' work! Current Inclusion Grads (Level 1 Certified) can now attend four new workshops to receive their Level 2 Certification, then keep going to achieve Level 3. New attendees can start on September 7th and work through our new certification levels that are awarded as follows: * Level 1 - Four different workshops attended (Current Inclusion Grads) * Level 2 - Eight different workshops attended * Level 3 - Twelve different workshops attended As always, our workshops will give you the chance to interact with others in the Community Living (CL) world, the opportunity to ask an expert and receive insightful answers on relevant issues at work, and of course enjoy a delicious lunch! September 7th Workshop: How to Deal with Difficult People How to Deal with Difficult People will give you more tools to manage conflict in the workplace and beyond. Our introductory workshop examines some basic approaches to dealing with conflict and provides you with the opportunity to better understand concepts and learn new skills crucial to handling conflict in a healthy, constructive manner. It is an essential professional development tool for managers, team leaders and front-line staff. How to deal with difficult people will be facilitated by Mike Labun. Mike has been a mediator and workshop facilitator since 1995, and has extensive knowledge in dealing with conflict resolution and substantial interactive teaching experience.
