New Journey Housing is offering the following free workshops: The Home Ownership Workshop is for people who are thinking of buying a home. We will discuss the advantages, disadvantages and the costs, as well as explaining what a mortgage is and what the bank needs to know in order to give you one. Workshop Dates: - translated into Mandarin - Monday August 9th 1 to 3:30 pm. - in English - Monday, August 16th 9:30 to 11:30 p.m. The Rental Workshop will explain renting in Winnipeg, the Residential Tenancies Branch (RTB), tenant and landlord rights and responsibilities, and how to keep an apartment. Workshop Dates: - in Spanish - Thursday, August 5th 10 a.m. to noon - in English - Monday August 9th 10 a.m. - noon All newcomers to Canada are welcome to attend.
