Finance Coordinator
Full-Time position (40 Hours/week)
Start Date: July/August 2010
The Finance Coordinator is responsible for the financial, administrative, and technological support functions at Fort Garry Women’s Resource Centre. The successful candidate will have experience in bookkeeping, budgeting and financial management, above average computer skills, excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, and ability to work collectively from a feminist perspective.
Skills and Experience
· Responsible and accountable for the overall coordination and maintenance of computerized accounting system.
· Experience using Simply Accounting is recommended and experience with Excel is essential.
· Responsible for preparation of the FGWRC’s annual budget and audit file working papers.
· Responsible for accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external purposes. Provide analysis and interpretation of financial information as required. Prepare other reports as needed. · Prepare bi-weekly payroll for staff (Payworks) and record entries into accounting software. Reconcile payroll including pension remittances for T4 purposes.
· Prepare year end financial analysis and liaise with external auditor; ensure that adequate internal controls are in place throughout the fiscal year, and that the Agency’s financial record keeping is in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
· Prepare various monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required by FGWRC, our funders, and other various government agencies.
· Other duties as required.Salary negotiable, dependent upon qualifications
