Diploma Program
Yellowquill College,
in partnership with Dakota Ojibway Child and Family Services is offering a
two-year First Nations Child and Family Services Diploma Program in Brandon, Manitoba.
This program will begin September 2007.
Entry requirements to start the program:
• Grade 12
• Mature Grade 12 or equivalent or;
• Mature student status
• Completion of a Child Abuse Registry check, Prior Contact Check, and a
Criminal Records Check
Application process:
• Complete a Yellowquill
College application
form, date and sign.
• Attach accompanying documents, such as transcripts and resumes.
• Submit a hand-written summary of why you wish to enroll in this program and
a brief biography (no longer than 1 page).
• Mail all documents to Yellowquill
College.
Early
Childhood Education Two-Year Diploma Program
Yellowquill College, in partnership with
Anishinabek Educational Institute is offering a Full-time Two-Year Diploma
program in Native Early Childhood Education. This program will be delivered
in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
• Recognized by the Manitoba Child Care Association and graduates can apply
for classification as an ECE II
• Develop the knowledge and skills necessary to organize and maintain a safe
and stimulating learning environment for the young child
• Aboriginal-specific component throughout the curriculum including Ojibway
or Cree language, Native culture and Contemporary Issues
• Field practicum placements in every semester
Entry requirements to start the program:
• Grade 12; or
• Mature Grade 12; or
• Mature student status

First Nation Community Management
• Week long modules so you can work and learn at the same time
• Core courses include such topics as Communications, Management
Studies, Human Resource Management, Case Management,
Financial Planning, and Community Program Planning
• Personalize your learning with a specialization stream in:
• Social Development
• Community Health
• Community Wellness
