MBLN Recognition Awards
For innovation in Employment Equity for Persons with Disabilities
The Manitoba Business Leadership Network (MBLN) is proud to announce they will be presenting the 4th Annual MBLN Recognition Awards for innovation in Employment Equity for Persons with Disabilities on October 9, 2007 in Room 2 at the Winnipeg Convention Centre. The awards will be presented at a kick off of the 2007 Employment Fair for Persons with Disabilities during a breakfast ceremony 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
The MBLN will be presenting three awards for Employer of the Year Small/Medium Business, Employer of the Year Large Business and President's Award to an Individual or Business for exemplary efforts in breaking down employment barriers.
This year the MBLN and the Manitoba Supported Employment Network (MSEN) will launch the Diversity Challenge and Introducing the 2007-2008 Champions.
Minister McIntosh will also be presenting a proclamation making October Supported Employment Month to MSEN.

The 2007 Employment Fair starting at 9:30 to 3:00 showcases companies that are progressive in addressing their labour shortages by hiring and retaining qualified persons with disabilities. In the first six years there have been approximately 450 people each year looking to find or improve their position in the labour force. Hosted by the MBLN and supported by Employment Manitoba.
